Spring is just around the corner and we’re already thinking about our home improvement, decorating, gardening and landscaping projects. The Greater Limestone County Chamber of Commerce and the local business community are ready to help.

The Limestone County Home and Garden Show will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13 at the Athens National Guard Armory on Armory Street (off Hwy. 31 just north of Hwy. 72). The show will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday March 14. Among the 32 inside booths, outside exhibits and informative demonstrations, attendees will find products, services and guidance to help with a large variety of home and gardening needs.

Food and refreshments will be available and door prizes will be awarded by many of the exhibitors. On Saturday, Lowe's will be conducting "how-to" projects and a kid's workshop. Reseda Nursery will demonstrate various container gardening options.

No admission will be charged for this event; however, donations will be accepted by the Limestone County Fire Fighters Association to help support the operation of their Volunteer Fire Departments.
