A successful business often will not rest on its laurels but will seek to diversify; Bella Hush Salon in Ardmore has done just that, and will make it all formal at the end of this month. The Bella Hush Salon and Spa is now Bella Hush Salon and Formal Wear, and owner Jennifer Baldwin will welcome the public to a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, January 30th from 10am – 5pm.
"We have formal wear for every occasion and budget," says Baldwin, who was prompted to take on the new endeavor by the closing of Main Street Boutique, whose owner, April Dawn Murph, is a longtime friend. The formal wear available at Bella Hush was previously featured at Main Street Boutique. Dave and Johnny and Precious Formals are the main lines. Breshear’s Formal Wear and Geno’s Formal Attire will provide the tuxedo rentals. Fittings and alterations will be offered, and the store will also carry wedding and graduation invitations.

Bella Hush Salon opened in November 2007, and the business has built a loyal clientele from Pulaski to Athens and surrounding communities. The salon specializes in complete hair services, pedicures and manicures, makeup by Arbonne Swiss Skin Care, and hair care products by Helix Design and Matrix Hair Care. Jennifer Baldwin has lived in Ardmore for twenty years and has done hair for twelve. She is a graduate of the Helix Hair & Fine Arts Academy in Sevierville (TN) and is Helix Design-trained. She is the wife of Mel Baldwin and mother of four children (Andrew, 17, Stephanie, 14, Hannah, 13, and Rachel, age 6) who attend Athens Bible School.
On the 30th she will also welcome a new employee, Lori Clem, a fellow Helix Hair Academy grad (wife of Jason Clem and mother of a little girl named Bella). The addition will allow Baldwin to invest time into the new formal wear customers wanting to look their best at proms, pageants, weddings and other special occasions. She’ll be assisted in that by Elizabeth Hodges, a junior at Ardmore High School, who will serve as a Personal Sales Consultant for formal wear and Stephanie Baldwin, a freshman at Athens Bible School, as Receptionist.

Bella Hush, whose name was inspired by the scripture 1 Peter 3:3-4, was built on the ministry of "revealing the hidden beauty in every woman." Now that the enterprise has expanded to include Formal Wear, 2010, promises to be an especially busy and exciting year at Bella Hush.
